Burma -- Scans -- Beer Labels

Mandalay and Myanmar beer were readily available, as was that Southeast Asian staple, Tiger Beer (imported from Singapore I believe). I preferred Myanmar myself. Compared to meals, beer was a an expensive (though much needed) luxury -- a 640ml bottle in a restaurant would run anywhere between 400 - 500 kyats ($.70 - $.80 cents).

I found the best deals, however, at the relatively new "beer garden" type places in Yangon and Mandalay (invariably sponsored by and serving exclusively one of these beers), where a decent sized mug of draught beer cost only about 100 kyats ($.17 cents).
