| Burma -- Scans -- Old Currency |
| These old "kyat" (pronounced "CHAT") notes were still in circulation, despite their use of the old country name "Burma". Each features a likeness of Aung Sang, the "father of Burmese independence" and the real father of Aung Sang Suu Kyi. During my trip, these 5, 10, and 15 kyat notes were worth roughly less than $.01 cent, $.02 cents, and $.03 cents respectively. |
