Busy with other things, I haven’t had time to update my Japan photo diary recently. But today I found the time to get through the backlog of photos and I uploaded three days’ worth to the site. The above image is from last Saturday’s visit to Hiroo that I wrote about earlier. These lanterns were on the side of a truck that was being prepared along with mikoshi (sacred palanquin) and vendor stalls and what not for an Autumn Festival that was to occur the following day.
