No I haven’t given up the blog, as mentioned here I’m busy with other things at the moment. I’ve never been a good multi-tasker when it comes to hobbies and interests, unfortunately. Truth is, I sort of miss the blog, definitely miss the photography, got some stuff to say and there are probably photos out there waiting to be taken, but I’m doing my darndest to stay away from them or else I’ll just return whole-hog and I’ve got to stick it out with my current project a bit more….

I apologize for the “chicken with its head cut off” conceit of the title, it sort of diminishes the photo which I’m rather fond of for some reason. At any ate, I’m pressed for time so it’ll have to do.

  1. i second dirk’s comment.
i enjoy the play in the reflection that makes me think of a high wire act… the white line stretching across the picture from the table to the basket and over a bucket -filled with water as a safety net or live crocodiles for added danger (as if the seven headed chicken monster hanging over the wire isn’t enough of an obstacle?) the main performer, holding a balancing rod, moves to step off a scale, further implying the weight and balance of a tightrope walker…
it is very effective the way the white lines unifiy the two cool blue colors in the forground and key them to the warm red color of the glasses so that eyes, which likely don’t function, appear to glow from an inner vision.
