hmmn: musings from the far east(erwood)
In honor of Naoko’s birthday, which was yesterday, here’s a photo of her that I like very much. It was taken in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, in December of 1998. Details: I used a Lubitel twin-lens camera, and Fuji Astia 100 slide reversal film, which I then had cross-processed as negative, hence the strange colorization.
I keep digging these up, and I’m not even looking for them. I wonder how many I’d find if I actually seriously looked for them. Added recently:

Well, the creators are, in any event. Ben and Mena Trott will be in Japan starting this Wednesday (January 15th), and there will be a Movable Type users gathering hosted by Joi Ito and Neotony. RSVP form and more information here. I work nights so it’s doubtful I’ll be there, but I should take this opportunity to welcome them to Japan and thank them for their software.
