I believe this would be from 1979 or so, taken whilst in the 9th grade of high school, and developed in the high school darkroom, hence the shoddy condition, which I’ve left as is rather than attempt to Photoshop away.

This is such a striking portrait Kurt. Such a stern seriousness is felt with your strong direct, (and in my mind) and confident gaze into the camera. Perhaps it’s because of the slight upward angle of the shot making it appear that you’re looking down on the viewer. It’s the eyes that make a good portrait and this is a great shot. I’m glad you didn’t touch up the scratches with PS.
