Omiya Station (Saitama). If this link works, then you should be able to view a map of the place from where I took the above photo. However, when I did a test earlier, it seemed to put the X about a block away. Of course I am no longer here, having moved on in the time it has taken to write this. Catch me if you can...

GPS phones
Excerpt: So I bought a Handy GPS from Garmin 3 weeks ago that I received last week. Turned out the reception in Tokyo is pretty bad *thanks* to the high buildings....

Ok... that is cool! How the heck did you do that without thumbing the whole url? ;-)

jeffrey-
the phone's GPS system (service?) automatically inserts the URL, I just need to wrap it with tags...it's a little tricky, on the small keypad/screen....if I forget a quotation mark it might make my page awfully ugly! (I take the picture first and save that to memory, then fire up the GPS on the phone, and then attach the pic to the email I post to MFOP with.

It s really cool, I only regret that it won t give the bloody coordinates! it only shows a map point. Better than nothing and at least easier than my solution right now, which involves starting the handy GPS (garmin) everytime I take a picture and record the coords on my clie, associated with the pic number and them put it all back together at home...

Paul-
the coordinates are in the URL, so if I wanted, I could copy and paste those from the URL string into the body of the message (or the subject for that matter). I'm quite interested in the GPS, but for what reasons I'm not sure. Why would the coordinates be important? What could someone do with those? I'd like to explore this further. Got a link or two?
