Trip goals

We're off, and only 30 minutes behind schedule. Naoko is covering up the fact that she's operating on only an hour and a half of sleep, bless her heart.
The goals of this trip for me are: a) don't get into an argument with Naoko; and b) don't get into an argument with Naoko's mother. Just let everything slide off my back. I've brought along my MD player, which should help. I'll keep you posted.

Hehehehe... Good luck with the no argument! Do you tend to have problems with the in-laws? Just asking because it seems that many foreigners encounter problems (some parents just not accepting that their son/daughter would marry a non-Japanese). I was lucky as my wife's parents were very, very liberal, and always told her that she could marry whoever she chose.
