A magazine in the "other" bin when the bin right next to it is clearly marked "Newspapers and magazines". This kind of wilfullness is on the rise here.

This kind of callow disregard for rules and other people is one of the paradoxes of modern Japan. In general, one can ignore signs, laws, and the rights of others, as it is rare for anyone to say something to the person being rude and/or careless. Examples of these abuses abound in public places all over the country. People smoking next to No Smoking signs at airports. People butting in line. Littering. Talking on cell phones in trains, while driving. One of the sad facts of life here...
