I see that all the time on the way to Kichijouji. After seeing that photo, I really need to spend an entire day at Inokashira.
Beautiful keitai photo.
Posted by: Jessica at October 20, 2004 02:42 PMThe lonely planet guide i had with me during my time in Japan described Studio Ghibli as a fortress whcih is extremely difficult to get into. Hopes were few for my friend, then, when he came to visit and wanted to look around the place to see if there was anything of interest (he had recently finished his MA in Animation).
However, it took a Japanese friend of mine only a few minutes to secure us tickets from one of those machines in Lawson. At 1000 Yen a ticket we thought it was also fairly cheap considering the studio's reputation as the producer of some of the worlds finest animation. Although geared up for children there were certainly some things worth seeing. My friend and i weren't allowed to play on the cat bus though which was hugely disappointing.
